Traditional Cyprus dancing isn't something for the faint-hearted or if your balancing skills are suspect.

Visit Kouklia Village on a Thursday for Cyprus Dance Night

A Traditional Cyprus Buffet is Served...

...and you may be invited to take part in the dancing

In nearby Pissouri, a 20 minute drive down the highway, you can enjoy fine Indian cuisine in the cosy little Saffron Indian Restaurant. You can check-out their menu online, book a table or order a takeaway to collect.

For a traditional English Sunday Lunch you could visit The Cork 'n' Bottle in nearby Anarita, a ten minute drive away. They do a variety of  food and drinks including breakfast, snacks, fish & chips as well as sunday lunch.

Just down the road you can visit Klimataria in Mandria (first taverna on your left after the car park) for a Sunday Souvla lunch which is highly recommended and a firm favourite of ours.

Another favourite of ours is the Kyrenia Restaurant on the beach at Avdimou, not far down the coast just past Pissouri Bay, which is on the way to Limmasol. The homemade Steak & Kidney pie or Moussaka is well worth the 20 minute drive there.

If you like the idea of spending the day at a beach bar, then Mandria has just the place for you to visit.

Drive into Mandria village and as you are driving through you will see signs for the beach. Follow the signs, or just head towards the sea, and you will come to the Beach Bar Shack. It looks a little run down at first but it has great ambience and the beach is pretty good directly in front of the bar. To the left the beach is mainly pebble and sand, but either way the sea is clear, clean and lovely and warm even in October.

And if you happen to like plane spotting, all the better, because the airport is just down the road and the planes fly low and directly overhead.
